The practice of Humility - 10

In conversations, do not annoy or make fun of others with sharp words and sarcasm; shun everything worldly.  Concerning spiritual things, do not speak in a magisterial fashion, unless demanded by your office or charity; be glad to consult with a mature person who will give you proper advice.  To play teacher without necessity is adding wood to the burning fire of our soul, already engulfed in the smoke of pride.

J. Pecci (later Pope Leo XIII)
